Section 4.54 of the
Environmental Planning and Assessment Act 1979, as amended, states:
"If, in granting a development consent, the consent authority reduces the period after which the consent lapses to less than 5 years, the applicant or any other person entitled to act on the consent may apply to the consent authority, before the period expires, for an extension of 1 year."
Rules
a. You can only apply for this extension once.
b. Extensions are valid for 1 year, irrespective of the term originally granted.
c. You must lodge this form and pay the required fee prior to the lapsing date of your consent.
d. You cannot get an extension to your consent if the consent was granted for 5 years.
